HON CONSULATE OF SPAIN FOR THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND

HON CONSULATE OF SPAIN FOR THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND

Honorary Consulate of Spain for the North of Scotland.

I would like to warmly welcome all Spanish citizens and businesses to Aberdeen. The Honorary Consulate of Spain for the North of Scotland was established in 2012. Its jurisdiction covers Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Moray, Highlands, Orkney and the Shetland Isles. The consular office is based in Aberdeen.

The main function of the Honorary Consulate is to give consular assistance and protection to Spanish nationals.

Another important activity of the Honorary Consulate is to promote the interests of Spain and, especially, to promote, as far as possible, the “brand Spain”, and Spanish culture. By doing so, it aims to establish effective cooperation between public bodies in order to improve links between Spain and Scotland, in particular with the north of Scotland, as well as seeking to establish commercial and cultural links that serve the interests and strengthen ties between these two countries.

I sincerely hope that this Honorary Consulate will serve as the channel for achieving these goals.
